If you searched for “Persona Shadow Gloves 160 Minecoins,” you probably found a mix of old listings, cached pages, and similarly named glove items. This guide explains what Shadow Gloves actually is, which edition and version it works with, what it really costs, and how to equip it in Minecraft Bedrock.
At a glance: version, edition, and what you need
Before you buy anything, check this compatibility list.
- Edition: Minecraft Bedrock Edition only. This includes Windows 10/11, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS. On mobile, this is often still called Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Item type: Character Creator persona item for the Hand slot.
- Gameplay impact: Cosmetic only. It changes your character’s hands and does not provide armor, damage, or abilities.
- Modloader: None. This is not a Java Edition mod, so Forge, Fabric, and OptiFine are not used or required.
- Currency: Minecoins, the in-game currency used in the Bedrock Marketplace.
- Distribution: Official in-game Minecraft Marketplace. The gloves are community-made cosmetic DLC sold through Mojang’s Marketplace system.
- Price you’ll likely see: 60 Minecoins on current community Marketplace trackers. The 160 Minecoins price could not be verified for Shadow Gloves.
What is Shadow Gloves?
Shadow Gloves is a Common-rarity hand persona for the Character Creator. Persona items are wearable cosmetics that let you customize how your Minecraft character looks. According to the Minecraft Wiki’s Character Creator guide, Character Creator cosmetics “typically don’t impact the player’s gameplay,” which means you are not buying an in-game advantage.
“Each item in the Character Creator assigns them into one of the five rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary… They typically don’t impact the player’s gameplay.” — Minecraft Wiki
There is an important catch: more than one Marketplace creator has published an item named Shadow Gloves. Listings show a Shapescape version released April 1, 2026, and a Cubed Creations version released July 21, 2026. A separate Kora Studios listing has also appeared, but its price and release details are not consistently available. Because these share a name, always check the creator name on the item page before purchasing.
Why are you seeing a 160 Minecoin price?
The 160 Minecoin figure seems to be the source of the confusion. The original page listing Shadow Gloves at 160 Minecoins could not be independently confirmed, and no reliable current listing shows Shadow Gloves at that price. The 160 Minecoin price does match two other glove items from the December 2024 “Expect the unexpected” campaign’s Garden Awakens Collection: Resin-Trimmed Gloves and Pale Gardening Gloves.
If you see 160 Minecoins attached to “Shadow Gloves,” double-check the full item name and creator. You may be looking at an old cached page, a different glove item, or a listing that has not been updated.
How to buy and equip Shadow Gloves in Minecraft Bedrock
Use these steps directly in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Do not buy Minecoins or Marketplace items from unofficial websites.
Step 1: Open Minecraft Bedrock Edition on your device and sign in with the Microsoft account you use for Minecraft.
Step 2: From the main menu, select Marketplace.
Step 3: Search for “Shadow Gloves.” If multiple results appear, look at the creator name. The Shapescape and Cubed Creations versions may be separate products.
Step 4: Open the listing and confirm the Minecoin price on the official item page. If the price says 160 Minecoins, compare the item name carefully — you may be viewing Resin-Trimmed Gloves, Pale Gardening Gloves, or another product.
Step 5: If you have enough Minecoins, confirm the purchase. If you need Minecoins, buy them only through the official Minecraft Marketplace or your platform’s storefront.
Step 6: After purchase, open the Character Creator — sometimes called the Dressing Room — go to the Hand slot, find Shadow Gloves, and equip it.
Need help finding the Character Creator?
On most Bedrock versions, select Profile or Dressing Room from the main menu, then choose Character Creator. From there you can browse owned and purchased persona items.
Shadow Gloves vs Garden Awakens gloves
Because the 160 Minecoin price keeps appearing, here is a quick comparison:
- Shadow Gloves: Common Hand persona; current tracker price 60 Minecoins; creators include Shapescape and Cubed Creations; cosmetic only.
- Resin-Trimmed Gloves: Garden Awakens Collection glove; listed at 160 Minecoins during the December 2024 campaign.
- Pale Gardening Gloves: Garden Awakens Collection glove; listed at 160 Minecoins during the December 2024 campaign.
This distinction matters because Marketplace items are tied to your Microsoft account and Bedrock edition. You cannot move this purchase to Minecraft Java Edition, and you do not need Forge, Fabric, or OptiFine.
Quick recap
Shadow Gloves is a real Bedrock Edition Character Creator hand persona, but the 160 Minecoin price is not confirmed for it. Reliable current listings point to 60 Minecoins for Shadow Gloves. If you see 160, you are probably looking at the Garden Awakens glove items. Always check the creator name, confirm the price in the official Marketplace, and remember this is a cosmetic-only Bedrock purchase.
