Scrolling through community chatter, you might have stumbled across mention of a “Persona Shiny Fox” supposedly available on the Minecraft Marketplace for exactly 280 Minecoins. It sounds like a perfect blend of style and sparkle—exactly the kind of unique fox skin or texture pack that Bedrock players love. But before you go hunting for that deal, let’s separate fact from fiction and safely find some genuinely awesome fox content for your worlds.
The 280-Minecoin Claim: What We Could (and Couldn’t) Verify
After digging through official Marketplace listings and trusted Minecraft community trackers, we could not confirm that a skin, texture pack, or add-on named “Persona Shiny Fox” exists at that price point—or at all. The number 280 Minecoins doesn’t match any known product. While one third-party site referenced the item, it isn’t an official Mojang source, and the listing itself couldn’t be validated against the actual Minecraft Marketplace. As a rule, we only point to reputable download sources like the in-game store or CurseForge, and until this item appears there, it’s best treated as unverified.
Important: Because the item can’t be confirmed, we can’t guarantee compatibility with any Minecraft version. Always check a Marketplace product’s details page directly inside the game to see the required version and supported platforms before purchasing.
A Better Way to Hunt for Fox-Themed Marketplace Gems
While the “Persona Shiny Fox” remains a mystery, Bedrock Edition’s Marketplace is overflowing with high-quality fox skins, add-ons, and texture packs—all officially reviewed and safe to install. Here’s how to browse them like a pro, whether you’re on Windows 10/11, console, or mobile.
Step 1: Open the Marketplace in Minecraft Bedrock
Launch Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) and hit the “Marketplace” button on the main menu. This is the only place where Minecoins transactions are handled directly by Mojang.
Step 2: Search with the Right Keywords
Use the search bar and try terms like “fox”, “shiny”, “silver fox”ou “persona skin” (the last if you’re after anime-style avatars). You’ll see official results with star ratings and price tags. Pay attention to the Minecoin cost; popular fox skins often range from 310 to 490 Minecoins.
Step 3: Check the Creator and Description
Tap into a listing to read what’s included. Look for creators with a verified checkmark and multiple published items—that’s a sign of a reputable team. If a skin pack claims to have a “shiny fox,” the description will spell out exactly how many skins you get and whether it uses a special texture or glow effect.
Step 4: Preview Before You Buy
Every Marketplace item includes a 3D preview and screenshots. Rotate the model to see if the “shiny” look is what you expected. Some skins achieve sparkle through clever pixel art, while others rely on emissive textures that light up in dark areas.
A Fox Add-on We Can Recommend: Fox Expansion by Chillcraft
If you’re after more than just a skin, Fox Expansion is a full-blown Bedrock add-on priced at 490 Minecoins (not 280). Created by Chillcraft, it introduces tameable foxes, boss fights, and a coin system to buy new fox variants, armor, and weapons. The developer describes it as: “Foxes like never before! Tame friendly allies, fight dangerous bosses, and collect coins to buy new foxes, powerful armor, and weapons.”
The add-on launched on March 3, 2026, and received a version 2.0 update on April 28, 2026, adding new foxes, quests, and a bank system. It requires the latest stable release of Minecraft Bedrock—check the store page for the exact minimum version. While it costs more than the rumored 280 Minecoins, you’re getting a thoroughly tested expansion with ongoing updates.
Don’t Mistake Pet Simulator 99 for Minecraft
Part of the confusion may come from another game entirely: Pet Simulator 99 on Roblox. That game has multiple “Shiny Fox” pets—a regular Shiny Fox (supply ~284,159), a Shiny Plushie Fox (RAP ~3.73 million diamonds), and a Shiny Origami Fox (RAP ~29.7 million diamonds). None of these are Minecraft Marketplace items, and they use diamonds, not Minecoins. If you saw a social media post about a “shiny fox” with a huge gem value, it’s almost certainly from Pet Simulator 99, not the Minecraft store.
Recap and What to Do Next
The “Persona Shiny Fox” at 280 Minecoins appears to be an unverified rumor. Instead of chasing it, use the in-game Marketplace search to find stable, officially supported fox content. For an immersive fox experience, consider the Fox Expansion add-on—or browse the skin catalog for a shiny vulpine avatar that matches your style. Whenever you’re unsure about an item’s price or source, trust only the Minecraft Marketplace itself or known platforms like CurseForge.
